How We Give Back to Our Community

For 90 years, we’ve received so much support from our customers and this community, and we’re committed to giving back. Supporting local organizations is a big part of who we are—when you support Binder, you’re also supporting these important organizations. Here’s how Binder gives back.

Every Meal

Serving children in urban, suburban, and rural communities, Every Meal provides nutritious and delicious food for children whose only meals come from school. They make sure that children around the Twin Cities and beyond have food on weekends and seasonal breaks. For weekend meals, sponsors and volunteers package meals for children and discreetly distribute them into students’ backpacks at the end of the school week.

Binder Heating is supporting the growth of this organization into South St Paul Schools! We made a significant commitment to helping get this started and are looking for partners—businesses, individuals, churches, etc. who might want to help by donating or volunteering to pack deliver food to these schools. It is REALLY important to us that any child in SSP who needs a meal on the weekend can get one. Please join us in this important work by contacting our office or Every Meal!

Habitat for Humanity

The Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to create affordable housing for families in the metro. They build, repair, and sell homes at affordable rates while also building strong community relationships to improve quality of life for families. You can support them by donating or shopping at their two ReStore outlets.

Urban Homeworks

This organization transforms vacant, condemned, or underutilized properties and vacant lots into quality housing for low- or moderate-income households. Their People Oriented Development model uplifts the voices of marginalized communities and promotes active change across neighborhoods. As they say on their website, “Families make homes, homes make neighbors and neighbors create community.”

Neighbors, Inc.

This organization supports individuals and families in the northern Dakota County communities by offering four services: a food shelf, financial counseling, the Holiday Gift Program, and the Clothes Closet. You can get involved by donating in monetary amounts or via food, clothes, and holiday gifts, along with their many volunteer opportunities.

Flannery Construction

More than half of Flannery Construction’s work has been in the nonprofit or public sector. They understand the funding and developmental challenges in the sector, and they believe everyone should have their building vision brought to life regardless of their budget.

We welcome opportunities to partner with various local companies that allow us to give back to our community. Make a difference when you purchase a furnace, air conditioning system, and more from Binder Heating and Air Conditioning!
