Residential Install Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a candidate who is a mechanically proficient, highly motivated, and a self-starter to fill the position of Residential Install Manager in our heating and air conditioning company. The Residential Install Manager is the primary contact for our residential customers, remodeling contractors, subcontractors and non-service customers. The candidate will be able to develop new and maintain existing relationships to price all remodel work and residential furnace and air conditioner replacements. The candidate will be responsible for the profitability of projects they sell.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create residential remodel and replacement estimates – responsible for preparing clear and well-defined quotes in response to calls for bids from existing and new customers in our CRM operating system Field Edge, developing designs as needed for estimating and execution of projects, creating cost estimates and a billing timeline for all projects, and accountability for profitability on all projects.
  • Weekly and/or monthly tracking of project profitability as separate projects and for the whole division
  • Communicating with customers about all the phases of the construction process, from estimate to construction/install to finish.
  • Managing projects sold including purchasing equipment and fixtures, coordinating with office staff, field labor and subcontractors
  • Oversight of one administrative support person

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 2-year degree (mechanical, business or marketing equivalent preferred) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC estimating experience
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office, bidding platforms, and strong computer skills
  • Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships
  • Proficiency in working in coordination with the other divisions/teams of the company

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to work within and create systems
  • Experience creating and working with Manual J heat loss calculations
  • Detail orientated and maintain accuracy in work
  • Efficient time management skills and organization to manage multiple projects simultaneously in order to follow through for our customers

Compensation

Compensation dependent on education and experience. Base salary range $70-90k per year. Position also eligible for sales/profitability bonuses. This is an exempt position. Medical and dental insurance, retirement, paid holidays and vacation included in this position. Company vehicle and cell phone provided.

Assistant Commercial Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail orientated, motivated, self-starter to fill the position of Assistant Commercial Project Manager in our heating and air conditioning company. The position is the primary contact for our commercial contractors and new build contractors. Duties include completing all paperwork and scheduling for commercial and new construction projects and other varying administrative functions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assistant Commercial Project Manager: Responsibility for commercial project management on all commercial projects, generate proposals or change orders as needed, prepare project information – subcontracts, submittals, scheduling, purchasing, permits, O & M manuals, prepare work orders and billing, register equipment, enter information in Field Edge throughout project and move job through each step in the system
  • Accounts Receivable: Create billing structure on each commercial project with an estimated timeline, submit appropriate paperwork and certified payroll in a timely manner, follow up with builders for timely payment
  • Administrative Support: Answering phone, maintain customer and job information in Field Edge, maintain records and filing, schedule estimates, clerical duties, obtain information for superiors or other duties as requested
  • Perform Other Duties as Required

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Prior commercial HVAC project management experience
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Detail orientated and maintain accuracy in work
  • Efficient time management skills and organization
  • Ability to multitask and handle potentially stressful situations calmly and appropriately
  • Must be responsible and dependable with information and tasks
  • Ability to work well on team of office staff

Preferred Skills

  • Accounting skills
  • 2-year degree (mechanical, business or marketing preferred) or equivalent
  • Ability to solve problems within the office environment
  • Ability to work within and create systems
