Binder RoofMap

A Smarter Way to Manage Your Rooftop HVAC Units

Get a Clear Picture of Your Commercial RTUs

When you manage a commercial property, your rooftop is more than just a roof—it’s a busy hub of heating and cooling systems that keep tenants and customers comfortable year-round. Keeping track of those systems shouldn’t be a guessing game. That’s where Binder’s RoofMap comes in.

We’ll create a custom rooftop unit (RTU) layout map that shows exactly where each unit is located and provides the key details you need for maintenance, budgeting, and future replacement planning—all in one clear, easy-to-use document.

What’s Included

Binder RoofMap Example

Your custom RoofMap includes an overhead diagram of your building’s rooftop with each RTU clearly labeled and numbered. For each unit, Binder will record:

  • Exact location on the roof
  • Make, model, and serial number
  • Tonnage and capacity
  • Build date and current age
  • Condition notes and recommendations

Why You Need a RoofMap

If you own or manage a strip mall, multi-tenant building, or retail center, chances are you’ve got multiple rooftop units—often from different manufacturers, installed at different times, and serving different spaces. Without a clear map, tracking which system belongs to which tenant can quickly become confusing.

A detailed RoofMap brings order to the chaos. It gives you (and anyone servicing your building) a clear, visual reference for:

  • Preventive maintenance planning: Easily identify which units are due for inspection, filter changes, or coil cleaning.
  • Repair tracking: Know the exact make, model, and age of every system when scheduling repairs or ordering parts.
  • Budget forecasting: Stay ahead of replacement needs by understanding which units are nearing end-of-life.
  • Tenant management: Quickly answer tenant questions about which system serves their space and when it was last serviced.

In short, this simple document can save you time, money, and stress all year long.
